some spell work

It had taken Sirius the better part of two days before he'd finally found a pair of cuffs tucked into the postbox of an abandoned house. It's fuzzy and pink, as promised, and Sirius holds them like a prize as a woman eyes him suspiciously and pointedly crosses the street.
After tucking the cuffs inside his jacket, Sirius heads to Dimera. There's no guarantee Kieren will be in, but it's not as though Sirius has much else to occupy his time.
He can't quite keep the grin off his face as he taps his knuckles to Kieren's door. It's the first he's been here, though Kieren had given him the address weeks ago. There's a bit of a knot in his stomach as he waits, a mix of excitement and anticipation as well as fear. Or perhaps fear isn't the right word, but Sirius isn't certain how else to describe it.
When he hears the turn of the knob, Sirius props his arm against the door jamb and quickly pulls the cuffs from his jacket with his other hand, grinning proudly as they dangle from his finger.

Granted, Kieren might be a bit more pasty than most, but Sirius is already intimately aware of Kieren's skin tone. There won't be any surprise there. He ducks again, nipping lightly at Kieren's jaw. "Tell me if it's too much, yeah?" he says, smoothing his hands higher, marveling at how cold Kieren can still be while he feels like he's already burning up.

Date: 2016-03-08 04:10 am (UTC)Part of him wants to object to Kieren's plea, to grab for his wand and put an end to this, but despite the coiling ball of worry in his gut, he finds he can't. Not until Kieren gives the word.
Instead, he reaches to cup Kieren's face with one hand, thumb brushing over the wet there, slightly amazed he even can cry, before his lips are pressed to Kieren's once more. It's deeper than before, as nervous as it is needy, and Sirius slides his hand higher up Kieren's side, over his shirt this time, but still firm. He finds himself shaking a bit as he licks into Kieren's mouth, careful to keep his fingertips away from the back of Kieren's neck.

Date: 2016-03-09 04:11 pm (UTC)Kieren lets out a happy little bubble of a laugh at the tenderness being shown to him and how he can feel more than just the pressure of a thumb on his cheek. He lets out a shaky little exhalation of joy, wrapping his arm around Sirius' waist to tug him flush against him for a kiss that he can feel. "I've never..." he eases back, just to be able to speak clearly. "I've never kissed anyone before, not when I was alive. Not really."

Date: 2016-03-09 05:59 pm (UTC)His own trousers are starting to feel too tight and Sirius shifts a little before Kieren pulls back to speak. "Well, I do hope this isn't a great disappointment then," Sirius says with a grin, fairly confident that Kieren's mostly enjoying himself. As if to make sure, Sirius presses in again for another kiss, licking past the seam of Kieren's lips and breathing into him. "It's not too much, then?" he asks between one kiss and the next, his hands on Kieren's shoulders now. "It's still good?"

Date: 2016-03-10 04:05 am (UTC)It's sudden enough that Sirius startles, his hands gripping Kieren's shoulders tight only briefly before he loosens his hold, worry spiking through him once more. They're still close, still sharing breath, Sirius taking in every line of Kieren's panicked expression.
And it's then he notices the stream of blackness falling from Kieren's nose.
"Kieren," he says, easing back to reach for his wand as something heavy falls in his gut.

Date: 2016-03-11 03:21 am (UTC)"Your nose," he says quietly, nodding in a vague gesture at Kieren's face as he drops his hand away from Kieren's shoulder. "Is that blood?"
It's not like any blood Sirius has seen from a person before, but Kieren is a special case. Kieren is special, full stop.

Date: 2016-03-12 04:45 am (UTC)Though, strangely, he's more curious than unsettled. Wand still held in one hand, Sirius slowly lifts the other, reaching for Kieren's face. "Can I?" he asks, stopping only centimeters away.

Date: 2016-03-12 05:54 pm (UTC)"I've never felt that before. Not like this."

Date: 2016-03-12 06:46 pm (UTC)"Was it a bad feeling?" Sirius asks, his curiosity slowly melting into concern.

Date: 2016-03-12 09:25 pm (UTC)"Maybe just tissues? If you can make those appear?" he asks, a touch wary.

Date: 2016-03-12 10:07 pm (UTC)"Are you feeling at all blood thirsty?" Sirius asks, the question meant as a tease though his lips are still curved in a faint frown. It's obvious Kieren's genuinely frightened and Sirius can't deny the coil of guilt in his belly as he asks, "Do you think the spell could have counteracted the drugs somehow? Should you see someone?"

Date: 2016-03-12 10:36 pm (UTC)"Can we just sort of stay here?" he asks quietly. "And don't move?"
no subject
Date: 2016-03-12 10:51 pm (UTC)His knees are starting to ache, but he's reluctant to move upon Kieren's request, only nodding again as he lightly cups Kieren's face with two hands, brushing thumbs along the bolt of his jaw. "You'll let me know if anything begins to feel strange," he says, leaning in to rest his forehead to Kieren's.

Date: 2016-03-12 11:52 pm (UTC)He considers for a moment, taking in Kieren's unsettled features, the furrow of his brow and curve of his lips before adding, "There are a number of other wizards here, I've found. Different sorts of magic. I can see if there's something else we might try. If you give your blessing, of course."

Date: 2016-03-13 12:07 am (UTC)"I feel like any magical cure is too good to be true," he murmurs. "But you're right. There's a lot going on. And I shouldn't just give up," he admits. "So yeah. Let's try one more time."

Date: 2016-03-13 12:44 am (UTC)"Once more," he agrees, brushing his nose lightly against Kieren's and giving him a small smile. "I'll make some inquiries. And if there isn't anything or whatever we find doesn't work, well... we'll find a way. I may feel terribly selfish the entire time, but perhaps we'll simply have to get creative."

Date: 2016-03-13 01:03 am (UTC)In truth, there's a multitude of what Sirius would love, but the highest on the list is enabling Kieren to feel, that his touch might incite the sort of sensation Sirius has been selfishly soaking up for weeks.

Date: 2016-03-13 06:49 am (UTC)"Mmm," he says as he forces himself to his feet, standing a bit wobbly before holding his hand out to help Kieren up as well. "Cold tea is a small price to pay, I'd say," he replies, leaning in quick for one more kiss before wandering into the kitchen.
